I recently had the pleasure of welcoming the New Year at Casa Da Quelha, a charming holiday home tucked away in the scenic Chãs de Água, Centro Region. Nestled among lush mountain views, the property offered a delightful blend of comfort and nature, making it an ideal setting for rejuvenation. The house itself is well-maintained, featuring a tastefully adorned interior with marble flooring that adds a touch of elegance. With spacious soundproofed rooms, we enjoyed undisturbed moments while sipping Ceylon tea and sharing stories around the dining table. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the nearby trails, perfect for hiking and cycling, immersing us in the awe-inspiring landscapes that I find so reminiscent of home in Galle. Just a quick ten-minute drive brought us to delightful local restaurants, enriching our culinary experiences. Most notably, our host was exceptionally gracious and attentive, ensuring our stay was comfortable. Casa Da Quelha embodies the essence of serene escape, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow travelers looking to experience the tranquil beauty of Portugal while enjoying the warmth of true hospitality.
